My name is Katie, and I am a stay-at-home mom to three children. I enjoy sewing and I sell bags and wallets in my etsy shop, thatdarnkat.etsy.com. I also write a blog (darnkat.wordpress.com), where you can find a free wallet tutorial if you'd like to make a matching wallet to go with your new bag. This is the first of my bag patterns that I am making available for other crafters to create. The design and construction of this bag were perfected after many failed attempts to make a perfectly joined bag and lining. One day, I had the genius idea to sew the harder (and more visible) seams first and the easier, less visible seams later in the construction. I tried it out and found that my "top-down" method of bag construction made for a much nicer finished product than I'd sewn before.
